Quakers beat several clubs to sign Nathan in January 2015, paying Harrogate RA an undisclosed sum for him. He started his career at Leeds United and graduated through their Academy. When he was released by the Elland Road club, he played for Harrogate Town, Liversedge and Brighouse before joining Harrogate RA. He made 130 appearances for the RA, scoring 67 goals, and in the 2014-15 season scored 36 goals in 35 games for them.

He scored seven goals for Darlington over the rest of the 2014-15 season, one of them the vital opener in the 2-0 play off final win over Bamber Bridge, and in 2015-16 was the club’s top scorer in the league with 19 goals.

Last season, he scored 7 goals, his successful effort against Tamworth being voted the goal of the season by fans.
