DFC statement on National Lottery funding

From the Board of Directors of Darlington FC

Darlington Football Club has today been given the news that we will receive £90,000 in grant aid from the Football Association.

The club is very grateful to the Vanarama National League, National Lottery, Government and the FA for their efforts in securing this financial support, which will contribute to covering the club's running costs for October, November and December. We look forward to working in partnership with the National Lottery on future initiatives in the Darlington community.

We note that the funding will be reviewed in three months, so it will be interesting to see whether we will be playing in front of crowds again in January, or if further funding will follow based on the ongoing covid-19 conditions.

Nevertheless, this financial support will greatly help with cash flow in these difficult times, and hopefully will help bring us success this season.

We are sure that all Darlington fans will join us in thanking the Vanarama National League, National Lottery, Government and the FA for this positive move. The club remains in a secure position financially and will deal with future funding requirements as and when Government policy changes or emerges. At this stage we wish to reassure fans that the joint Boards are comfortable with the immediate future.
