Community Engagement

Darlington Football Club has been at the centre of the local community ever since it was formed in 1883.

Since becoming supporter owned in 2012, we have strengthened our links with the local community by:
• Establishing a unique partnership with the NHS County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust
• Forging links with our local BAME groups
• Establishing a very popular Academy and successful youth section
• Forming a Junior Quakers section
• Running Soccer Camps through our Football in the Community staff
• Providing matchday experiences to local groups

All our community activities are now run through Darlington Football Club Foundation - the official charity partner of Darlington FC.

Darlington Football Club Foundation aims to improve the lives of people in Darlington and surrounding areas especially their health by promoting positive activity and lifestyles through education and engagement of young people and their families for the benefit of the whole community.
