Darlington defender Chris Hunter says that winning the NPL title was better than winning the play offs the season before.

Chris, who has just signed a new two year deal with the club, said; “Last season was really good when we won the play offs, but winning the title this season has been even better than that. It was amazing, especially after having so many games called off and we had to play catch up

“We lost track of the teams that we had played against. Even if you ask me now, I can’t remember the order in which we played our opponents over the last fortnight of the season.

“Every game came along that quickly, I don’t think we had a chance to feel tired! We played Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday one week, then in the last week of the season it was Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday."
