Donations needed for the elderly
AGE UK DARLINGTON NEED YOUR HELP
Can you make a difference to a lonely or isolated elderly person this Christmas?
Many elderly people will be facing a very different Christmas this year. They may have to face Christmas alone and will miss out on social contact with family and friends.
Age UK North Yorkshire and Darlington would like to try and help by collecting gifts to show that someone cares. They're asking all colleagues, customers, friends and family if they could give a gift that an elderly person would love.
How can you help? We would suggest items such as puzzle books, hot chocolate, biscuits, warm socks, gloves, slippers, scarves, hats, toiletries, confectionary, pens or handmade gifts – the list is endless but no alcohol please. You could donate just one gift or several gifts in a shoe box or similar container. If you plan on wrapping a box in wrapping paper please make sure the lid can be taken off. Please could you also label if the box/gift is for male/ female/ unisex.
If you would like to help, please drop your gift off at the following locations by 6th December.
