All the best, Jack!

Striker leaves the club

We have today been informed by Jack Lambert that he won't be returning to the club in the new season.

Jack scored 16 goals in league and cup for us last season, two of which were up for Goal of the Season. One was his curler from the corner of the box against Banbury, and the second, which won the award, was his pinpoint free kick into the top left corner at Scarborough.

Here it is:

Overall in his four spells with us, he scored 26 goals in 88 appearances. He scored two hat tricks this season, at Telford and Gloucester.

Jack said; "I've got a lot to thank Darlington for, because they gave me a chance after I'd had nearly a year out of the game. I've really enjoyed my time at the club, and the fans were always great towards me.

"I want to look at other opportunities now."

We would like to wish Jack every success in the future.
