On Tuesday night Darlington head to nearby Blyth Spartans in the first round of the Doodson Cup. The competition sees all teams in the three Evo-Stik leagues compete for the League Cup trophy.
The Quakers latest fixture against Buxton was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch, and Martin Gray could field a strong side in order to give some members of the first team squad an outing. Defender Alan White, who has completed his suspension, plus Adam Nowakowski, Rob Youhill, David Dowson and Graeme Armstrong will all probably be included.
Blyth have had a good start to the 2015/16 season and continue to contend with Darlington at the top of the league. Currently, they are top of the table three points ahead of the Quakers.
The sides have met this season in the league when defender Alan White scored the winner in a 2-1 victory for Darlington.
Since Darlington’s latest outing, Gary Brown has joined the club, and he could also play.
Kick-off at Croft Park is Tuesday 19:45
