Big game at Eastbourne

After no game on Easter Sunday, the Quaker Women welcome Newton Aycliffe Women to the Eastbourne Community Stadium this Sunday, kick off 2pm.

We are hoping to get as many people as we can down to Eastbourne this weekend. All sponsors have been invited to the game and we have produced a programme which will be on sale on the day for £2.00.

Darlington are looking for their fifth win in a row in the league, not losing since a narrow 3-2 defeat in January to Durham Cestria. Three points for the Quaker Women will take them closer to fourth, with five games in hand over the team above them.

Aycliffe also need the points and are still looking for their first win of the season. They sit joint bottom of the table with two points but are more than capable of staying up if they can get enough points to climb above Bishop Auckland. Last time out they lost 7-2 to Pools Youth but will be looking to cause an upset and take the three points back to Aycliffe.

The last time the two sides met seen Darlington win the game 6-1 at the Oakleaf in October 2025. The Quaker Women were 3-0 up at half time and scored a few more in the second half to see the game out well.

We would be grateful for your support on Sunday. Share the post, spread the word and let’s pack the stands at Eastbourne.
