John Tempest welcomes Craig Morley (right) to the club

Darlington Football Club would like to announce the appointment of Craig Morley as full time commercial director.

Craig, who has joined us from Durham County Cricket Club, will start work immediately on increasing the club’s commercial presence and generating revenue.

“My immediate aim is to get the club’s commercial department up and running,” he said.

“I need to get local businesses on board and talk about the many things we can offer at this football club – for example one of my priorities is to sell more advert hoardings around the ground.”

Craig has been a long serving Darlington supporter, and has shared many of the club’s ups and downs with all the other Darlo fans in recent years.

“I already know quite a few people at the club, and I intend to work with everybody concerned in order to generate more interest and subsequently revenue for the football club.”

Darlington director John Tempest said; “We are delighted to have Craig joining us as commercial director, he will bring a professionalism to the club and possesses a strong network of business contacts in the North East. Importantly he is also a passionate fan who wants to see the club do well on and off the pitch. Lauren Coad and myself, who are both volunteers, will give Craig every support within the commercial team.”
