Darlington picked up their fifth league win a row at home to Rushall Olympic on Saturday, captain Kevin Burgess scoring the only goal of the game in the second half.

At the same time Blyth Spartans overcame Matlock Town,1-0, keeping the gap between the two sides at four points.
The two sides have yet to meet in the league this season. The return fixture at Heritage Park will be played on Thursday 7th of April due to the remaining fixtures for both teams. The game has been designated as a "Kids for a Quid" game.
Nantwich are one of a few teams in the division who have more games still to play than Darlington, due to their success in the FA Trophy. However, their run in the competition came to an end this last weekend when they lost 6-4 on aggregate to FC Halifax Town in the semi-finals, they drew 2-2 at the Shay after losing 4-2 at home.

In the league this season they had been near the top of the table early on, having been the league's top scorers for a large portion of the campaign. However, they have fallen away in the last few months, currently sitting in ninth place in the league table, 13 points off the final playoff place. They have scored 75 times so far in the league this season, with only Darlington and Salford City having scored more.
