Plus Update on Next Season’s Shirt Vote
We’re pleased to share an update on this season’s replica shirt sales, our first with new kit partner Macron, which have seen significant growth, and to provide details on the upcoming vote to select next season’s kits.
Shirt Sales Break Records
Thanks to your incredible support, overall shirt sales this season have more than doubled compared to the same period last year. The standout performer is our 3rd kit – the black and gold shirt – which has become our fastest-ever selling shirt under fan ownership, with over 500 shirts already sold since launching last month. Year-to-date sales for our home and away shirts are also up strongly compared to prior years.
As we head into the festive season, don’t miss out on securing your favourite Darlington FC merchandise:
- Home and away shirts are in stock and ready for Christmas purchases.
- The 3rd kit is still available for pre-order, so order now to avoid disappointment!
- The next drop of 3rd kit shirts, ordered after the initial batch sold out, are now in production. We will be able to provide a firmer delivery date on/around Dec 14th.
You can purchase your shirts now via the club shop:

Exciting Retro Options Coming Soon
Looking ahead to the new year, we’ll be introducing two new retro shirt options in Q1 2025. These will celebrate some of our most iconic designs, giving fans even more ways to show their Darlo pride. Stay tuned for more details.
Next Season’s Kit Vote
In line with previous seasons, the vote for the 2025/26 home and away shirt designs is expected to take place in the coming weeks. Following the last fan consultation, the designs will reflect your preferences:
- The home shirt will not feature hoops next season, a decision shaped by supporter feedback.
- The away shirt will incorporate hoops, ensuring this iconic feature remains part of our identity.
This approach honours the findings of our October 2021 Shirt Consultation Survey, in which:
- 92% of fans expressed a preference for a predominantly black-and-white home shirt.
- Only 53% felt hoops were essential, and just 41% supported hoops every season.
To balance tradition with variety, we committed to a rotational approach:
- Home kits alternate between hooped and non-hooped designs every 3–4 seasons.
- Away kits feature hoops in seasons where the home kit is non-hooped.
This rotational strategy ensures that the club’s heritage remains visible while allowing for fresh and distinctive designs to represent Darlington FC.
We look forward to sharing the new designs with you and thank you for your continued support, both on and off the pitch.
