DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB HEADING HOME - TRAVEL SURVEY

DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB HEADING HOME - TRAVEL SURVEY

With planning application now submitted to the Council for the development of the Blackwell Meadows site, the 3 main parties (i.e. Darlington Football Club, Darlington Rugby Football Club and Darlington Borough Council) are keen to learn more about our fans' most likely modes of transport to Blackwell Meadows on match days.

The Board of Directors would therefore welcome your input into this survey - the results of which will contribute heavily towards various logistic and administrative arrangements that will be introduced.

Simply answer the questions one by one and at the end of the survey you will have the opportunity to enter a draw for free match entry and a hospitality package for 2 people. The survey will remain open until Friday 16 January at 5:00pm and the winner will be notified and announced on Monday 19 January 2015.

The Survey has again been created on a web-based platform called ‘Survey Monkey’ which accumulates the results from various questions and enables a fully informed evaluation to take place.

Access to the survey can be obtained by clicking on the following link.

The Board is aware that many fans may not have access to, or feel comfortable with, computers to complete the Survey. It is therefore hoped that fellow fans (either family members or fan groups) will offer their generous support to such individuals and provide access to, or guidance, in its completion. The production of a paper based questionnaire to accompany the web based Survey provides additional complications and complexity – primarily due to the sheer number of options that exist (depending on the choices selected through the Survey) that would run for many pages in paper format and subsequently be required to be entered into Survey Monkey.

The Survey provides complete anonymity for fans, if required, and will appeal to everyone – regardless of age, location, shareholding or membership of any supporter groups. This will provide the representative and independent feedback that the directors require. It is also hoped that the Survey will appeal to lapsed fans, exiles, local businesses and community partners old and new as we make plans for our return to Darlington. The directors would therefore welcome the assistance of all fans to share the link with family, friends, colleagues and contacts to ensure that the feedback contains as many responses as possible.

Any queries in using the Survey should be addressed to commercial@dfc1883.co.uk

The Board would also like to inform supporters that the initial Fans’ Survey, carried out last Autumn, is in the final draft of being summarised, thanks to volunteer resource and assistance, and when this is completed the Club will announced a date, venue and time when supporters will be able to attend a presentation of this summary. The Club will announce further details shortly.
