The Quakers face Nantwich Town on Thursday night looking to close the gap on Blyth Spartans to four points at the top of the league table.
Darlington suffered their first defeat in nine games at Frickley Athletic on Tuesday night. Despite taking the lead through Graeme Armstrong the side fell to a 3-1 defeat. This left the side seven points behind Blyth with three games in hand.

Earlier in the week Blyth had won 4-0 at Hyde United.
Darlington and Nantwich met each other just a few weeks ago when the Quakers put in one of their best performances of the season, as they won 5-0 away from home.

Like the Quakers, Nantwich Town still have seven games left. They currently sit in tenth place in the league table, 14 points outside the final playoff place. Since the two sides last met, Nantwich have won two and drawn two from their five games. On Tuesday night they drew 3-3 at home to Rushall Olympic.
