The Quakers host Skelmersdale United at the Brewery Field on Tuesday, knowing that victory or a draw will see them go top of the table for the first time since October.

Darlington were 2-0 winners at Grantham Town on Saturday thanks to goals from Stephen Thompson and Liam Hardy.

A great day was completed with news that Skelmersdale did Darlington a huge favour at Croft Park, as they won 2-1 away to Blyth.

This leaves the Quakers just one point behind Blyth with two games in hand, as we go into the final five games of the season.

Skelmersdale sit in 14^th place in the league table, having secured their Evo-Stik Premier status in recent weeks.  They have won five games away from home in the league this season, including the victory at Blyth at the weekend.

They are on a good run in the league at the moment, having only lost once in their last seven fixtures.
