FA cup hero signs for Quakers
Darlington FC have today signed exciting winger Jarrett Rivers from Blyth Spartans.
Jarrett, 25, has completed his contract at Blyth, and will join up with his former manager Alun Armstrong next week.
Jarrett started his career at Middlesbrough, and when he was released from there in 2013, joined Northern League club Whitley Bay.
After a season at Whitley, he joined Blyth, who were then in the EvoStik League and was in the FA Cup spotlight when he scored the winner in their FA Cup second round tie against Hartlepool in December 2014.
His outstanding performances that season helped him win a move to Football League club Blackpool in the summer of 2015, and after a year at Bloomfield Road, he returned to Blyth.
He then helped Spartans win promotion from the EvoStik League under Alun, and then to the play offs in National League North in the season just ended. He became a free agent at the end of the season after making 125 appearances plus 22 as a sub.
We would like to wish Jarrett all the best in his career at Darlington.
