Darlington Under 18s begin their campaign in this season's FA Youth Cup when they play their first qualifying round tie at Chester-Le-Street tonight.

The FA Youth Cup is the national competition for all Under 18s teams, so if our lads do well enough and win a few games, then they could play a Premiership club in the competition at some point!

First of all, though, they have to beat Chester-Le-Street , who play in the Russell Foster Youth League.

Manage Andrew Jinks said; "We don't know much about Chester-Le-Street, but last season when both teams were in the Under 17s, we beat them.

"We've got a strong squad again, so hopefully we can do well in the competition. It would be great to get through to the competition proper."

Quakers have lost to Gateshead in the opening round in the last two seasons, so they're pleased to have avoided the Heed this time round. Should Quakers win tonight, then they'll be away to Shildon in round two.

The game, at Chester-Le-Street's Northern League ground next to the A167, kicks off at 7.30
