Darlo return home to Blackwell Meadows after four away games on the bounce when they welcome Bedford Town on Saturday.

The Quakers come into this game after two big away wins, a 4-0 win against Spennymoor Town and a 2-1 win against Curzon Ashton on Tuesday night, when goals from Jack Maskell and Cedric Main were enough to take the three points home.

At home this season, Darlo have been hard to beat, with six wins and five draws in 14 games, scoring 31 goals and conceding 21 for a total of 23 points. In the last five home games, the Quakers have only lost once, with that loss coming against South Shields.

Darlington’s opponent, Bedford Town, who were promoted at the end of last season, are 16th in the league with ten wins and nine draws in 35 games with 55 goals scored and 63 conceded for a total of 39 points.

The Eagles come into this fixture on good form, with two wins in a row, the most recent with most recently a 4-1 home win against Peterborough Sports, with all four goals coming from Tyrone Marsh.

The last time the two clubs met was their first ever meeting, and it was a classic with Darlington providing a late comeback in a 4-3 win with goals from Will McGowan, Max Howells, Cedric Main and a last-minute header from Tom Allan

Nathan Ashmore is between the sticks for The Eagles, having been brought back on loan to Bedford until the end of the season. He brings an air of confidence to his back line, having lots of experience at Boreham Wood and being a vital part of this Bedford side.
