Darlo look to finish pre-season in style as they travel to NPL Division One East side Dunston UTS on Saturday. 

The Quakers come into this game after a 2-0 loss at home to Football League side Rotherham United, where after a disappointing first ten minutes, the Quakers competed and gained valuable experience against Alex Bruce’s side. 

Darlington’s opponents, Dunston UTS, are a side who will make Darlo work for it and will be up for the challenge based on previous meetings between both sides. The Fed finished 4th last season in the NPL Division One East and would lose in the playoff semi-finals to the eventual winners Emley FC. 

Dunston have had a good pre-season so far with games against the likes of Stockton Town and National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough and have scored 16 goals in their six pre-season games so far. 

The two sides have met in pre-season games over the last two seasons, with the most recent meeting being a 4-1 win for the Quakers at the UTS Stadium with four second-half goals from the Quakers scored by Toby Lees, Jack Maskell, O.G. and youngster Jack Mortimer.

The Fed have added to their side this summer as they look to compete for the title with the signings of former Spennymoor and South Shields midfielder Callum Ross and striker Nic Bollado from Morpeth Town. 

Last season's top scorer, Will Shaw, will be one to watch for Dunston with the attacking midfielder scoring 20 goals for the Fed.
