Darlington return to league action on Saturday when they host Grantham Town at Heritage Park.

Last Saturday saw the side knocked out of the FA Trophy after a 1-0 defeat at Sutton Coldfield Town.

After this week’s latest fixtures the Quakers are still third, but now four points behind the new league leaders Nantwich Town.

Grantham Town are currently in 20th place in the league table, just one place and two points off the relegation zone.

They had a poor start to the season which saw the side fail to win any of their first ten competitive games in all competitions. They have won four games in the league this season, but only once away from home. However, they have won both of their last two league games against Hyde United and Mickleover Sports.

Alan White’s four match suspension begins on Saturday after he returned in the FA Trophy defeat. Another player who will not be involved for the club this weekend is Rob Youhill who was released from his contract at the club earlier this week.

Manager Martin Gray said; "I expect us to bounce back after our defeat last week. I expect a high tempo performance."

Kick-off on Saturday is 3pm at Heritage Park.
