🔥 Match Preview
The Quakers return to Blackwell Meadows looking to find that elusive first home win of the season as they take on local rivals Spennymoor Town this Saturday.
Darlo come into this game after a heartbreaking last-minute loss away at Telford, after which Steve Watson and the club came to a mutual agreement to part ways, with Terry Mitchell taking over the reins as caretaker manager for the time being.
Darlington’s opponents, Spennymoor Town, have had a similarly challenging start to the season and, after 11 games played in the league, sit bottom with seven points and have also recently changed managers, with Peter Hartley taking over at the end of September.
Away from home, the Moors have struggled and are yet to pick up a win in six away games, with two draws and four losses, with six goals scored and 13 conceded for a total of two points.
The sides met last season when the Quakers did the double over Spennymoor, with the most recent being a 4-0 win away at the Brewery Field. The last time Darlo welcomed Spennymoor to Blackwell Meadows, a last-minute Cedric Main wondergoal meant the Quakers would hold onto all three points, winning 1-0.
