Darlington Youth U13s Wearside carried on with their impressive start to the season, cruising through to the next round of the league cup.

The team started very well and scored within 5mins with a fine finish from Jackson Briggs. Darlington soon doubled their lead again with a fine finish from Briggs and the third goal was his best of the day as he finished off an eight man move when he went around the Whitburn keeper and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

Goal number four was an excellent finish from Tommy Hunt coming in at the back post to a delightful cross from Jamie Dodds., Kieron Wakefield went on a delightful run from centre midfield which lead to him being brought down in the box and the referee awarded a penalty, which Kieron took and scored.

Half time Darlington 5 – Whitburn 0.

Second half started in the same vein as the first with Darlington piling on the pressure and further goals from Jamie Dodds and a long range effort from Darren Robertson sealed a comfortable win..
