Farsley AFC v Darlington Preview

Farsley AFC v Darlington Preview

Here's Simon Hahn's match preview. Darlington head to Farsley on Tuesday night looking to bounce back at the first time of asking after Saturday’s defeat at Kendal Town.

The 4-2 defeat, coupled with Salford’s 6-1 victory over Prescot Cables, saw us slip to second place in the league table, three points behind the Ammies.

Despite the loss, it was only our fourth defeat in the league this season and we are still in pole position to win the league title. It does, however, increase the importance of the trip to Farsley.

Adam Mitchell returns to the squad after serving his two match suspension, which means Martin Gray has a full squad to pick from, minus Amar Purewal.

Farsley go into the game still very much in the promotion mix even if they have struggled for form of late. They have slipped to ninth in the league, however they do have games in hand on most of the teams above them.

At the weekend they drew 2-2 at home with Bamber Bridge and have now failed to win in their last four league matches.

When the sides met back in September, Farsley were able to snatch a late equaliser at Heritage Park. Terry Galbraith had given the Quakers the lead, before Farsley levelled in stoppage time.

Kick off at Farsley on Tuesday is 7:45pm
