The Quaker Women are back in action this weekend and are finally back at home to host their first ever NERWFL game at the Eastbourne Community Stadium. They welcome old friends Gateshead Rutherford to Darlington.

Rutherford came out on top in the most recent meeting, a pre season friendly at Lobley Hill. However, it was Darlington who took the 3 points the last time they met competitively. The Quaker Women were on the right side of a 7 goal thriller in the January of 2025. Chloe Ryan hit a brace with Grace Dobson also scoring and Hattie Raine getting the winner.

Previous to that, the sides drew 2-2 in the reverse fixture at Eastbourne a month earlier in December 2024. Chloe Ryan and Grace Dobson both getting the goals with the points shared.

Gateshead are coming off the back of a 3-1 loss to current league leaders Park View Women, with ex Quaker, Grace Dobson scoring against them again at the weekend.

Darlington had a rare free weekend with Stockton playing in the FA Cup but are coming off the back of their first league win against Washington the weekend before.

Both teams will be looking to put some more points on the table and it’s set to be another great game between the two sides.

Let’s have a big crowd at Eastbourne on Sunday! The match kicks off at 2pm.
