How Businesses Can Benefit from Apprentices in 2021

Apprenticeships are a valuable option for employers to bring talented recruits into their business.

Many businesses are now beginning to begin their recovery plan from the pandemic. With many employers struggling with staff and recruitment, the importance of building a highly skilled workforce is coming to light. The pandemic has taught us that it is essential for businesses to be able to adapt to changes as they happen and learn new knowledge and skills needed to cope with the demands.

Apprenticeships are a valuable option for employers to bring talented recruits into their business. It is a cost-effective way to help build and grow a strong workforce as they help develop an individual’s skills, knowledge and understanding required to fit key roles within an organisation. High quality training helps employers to build and sustain a long-term edge in their industry whilst also allowing individuals to take the first steps in their career, up-skill or change the direction of their career completely.

At Learning Curve Group, we always strive to keep our “learners at the centre of everything we do” and our goal is to get as many young people into roles as possible to give them the experience and skills they need for a successful career, whilst also supporting businesses to thrive as we come through this pandemic. At the beginning of 2021 we relaunched our Advance Academy which now adds an exciting new element to the programme by having a “candidate focused” team as well as a client focused team. We will now be promoting our available fantastic candidates, who are ready to begin an apprenticeship programme and show businesses all the benefits of what taking on an apprentice in 2021 will look like.

The Advance Academy success has been built on offering a variety of online apprenticeship programmes which allow businesses to be able to either up-skill their workforce or hire new recruits, as well being able to support organisations with options to grow their business further. All training currently takes place online with a designated apprenticeship trainer combined with support and training from the employer in the workplace in line with the job role.

Our mission is to give young people the opportunity to get their foot in the door and start their career. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, there is an increasing number of young people that have found themselves in difficult situations regarding employment and/ or training opportunities. Currently, unemployment amongst the 16-24 age range in the UK is at 14.3%, equating to a large talent pool that businesses can have access to and can be working with. Many young people have grown up with exposure to digital technology and we know from experience they can bring a new confidence, approach and outlook to their new employers.

The Advance Academy aims to help businesses and young people thrive with this model. By taking on an apprentice you may be able to apply for up to £4,000 Government incentive with hiring an apprentice. These cash incentives are currently running until the end of September 2021, so now is the perfect time to think about hiring an apprentice to get the best possible candidate for your business and doing so through the Learning Curve Group Advance Academy. The team will put you in touch with some amazing candidates who have already been spoken with and interviewed by ourselves, there is an incredible pool of talent that are prepared for specific industry roles and are ready to start their apprenticeship.
