A convincing display from the Darlington under 19 Academy side secured all three points at home to Eccleshill United at Eastbourne.

This was a real team performance with no individual dropping beneath an 8/10. Notable positives were a clean sheet preserved through a solid goalkeeping display from Flood, a masterclass from Mahachi at Centre half and a first full 90 for the impressive Walker alongside him.

Late goals from Laing and Wilkinson were preceded by two ‘Worldies’ from stand-in skipper Scotter, the game’s opener being a 25 yard half volley with the left peg straight to the top bin.

Final shout out to Haque on the right wing, hard work coupled with some excellent touches led to a superb overall display.

The boys will be looking to build on this next Wednesday as we welcome neighbours Hartlepool United to Eastbourne.
