Darlington FC would like to announce that Josh Gillies has agreed a new long term contract.

Midfielder Josh, who signed for us in August, has agreed to stay until the end of the 2018-19 season.

Josh has been outstanding for Quakers since he made his debut against Altrincham on the opening day of the season and has scored twice in eight appearances, both of them excellent free kicks against Alfreton.

Manager Martin Gray said; “It is great news that Josh has agreed to stay with us, because he is exactly the calibre of player that we’re trying to attract as we continue our progression.”

Josh left Gateshead after failing to agree a new deal with them during the summer. Previous to that he was at Carlisle, and a first spell at Gateshead.
