πŸ”₯ Match Preview

Darlo look to rebound after a disappointing bank holiday Monday draw against Telford with a big performance against newly promoted Macclesfield, and keep up their unbeaten away record so far in the league.

The Quakers come into their third away game of the season after conceding a late equaliser to Telford, who completed their comeback in the 95th minute after Darlo were 2-0 up at half time.

Darlington’s opponents, Macclesfield, come into this game after a goalless draw away to Spennymoor, where they were down to ten men for most of the game when Rollin Menayese was shown a straight red right before the half.

John Rooney’s Silkmen have had a good start to their campaign so far, following promotion, with two wins and two draws in their first five, and find themselves 9th in the table currently, with seven goals scored and five conceded.

The last time the two clubs met was in League Two in the 2009/10 season, when Darlington walked away 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Ian Miller and Michael Smith -- it was Quakers' last away game in the Football League.

πŸ‘€ Player Spotlight

Isaac Buckley-Ricketts will be one to watch, having joined from Curzon Ashton this Summer, coming off a 10-goal season for The Nash and already having scored twice this season, he will be a threat out wide.

Danny Elliott will also be a strong presence upfront with his experience at the National League level, and also at this level when he was most recently at Scunthorpe. He already has 4 goal contributions this season with a goal and three assists.
