Ossett Albion v Darlington Preview
Simon Hahn has sent in this preview of tomorrow's game Tomorrow, weather permitting, we travel to Ossett Albion looking for a victory in our final match before the top of the table clash with Salford City in a week’s time.
Unfortunately last weekend’s league game was called off, however we were able to play a friendly at Billingham Synthonia. We came out 4-1 winners, with new boy Nathan Cartman scoring a hat-trick along with a goal from Stephen Thompson.
If tomorrow’s game does go ahead the kick-off has been brought forward to 2pm, due to flood light problems at Albion’s ground.
Our opponents currently sit in 17th place in the league, despite having three points deducted earlier this month for fielding an ineligible player.
When the sides met back in October, the Quakers secured a 2-0 victory with goals either side of half time from Amar Purewal and Alan White.
Cartman is expected to start tomorrow and make his competitive debut for the club alongside either Graeme Armstrong or David Dowson up-front. Like last week, manager Martin Gray should have a nearly full squad to choose from for the game.
League leaders Salford City go to Brighouse Town, with Northwich Victoria travelling to struggling Prescot Cables.
