Padiham v Darlington Preview
Simon Hahn brings us his preview of the away match at Padiham this Wednesday Following Saturday’s comfortable victory at home to Ossett Town, the Quakers look to make it back-to-back victories as we travel to bottom of the table Padiham.
After the defeat at Salford, Saturday was what everybody needed a comfortable victory with an all-round great performance.
With Salford not playing at the weekend, a victory on Wednesday night would see us return to the top of the table, still holding games in hand.
Chris Hunter was unavailable at the weekend, due to being married, however he will come straight back in to the side to face the league’s bottom placed team. This will probably see Gary Brown reverting to right-back with Adam Mitchell either dropping to the bench or starting in midfield. Nathan Cartman scored his first goal for the club at the weekend and he is expected to continue up-front with Graeme Armstrong.
Padiham have been bottom of the table for most of the season and are now eight points off safety. However, when the two sides met early in the season, the Quakers struggled their way to a 1-0 win at Heritage Park, with the only goal coming thanks to an Amar Purewal penalty.
The game is our first of four away fixtures in a row and Kick Off for the game at Padiham is 19:45
