Quaker Women at home on Sunday

And hopefully the weather won't intervene

Darlington Women are hoping that the weather won't intervene with their Durham County FA Women's League game against Gateshead Rutherford on Sunday.

Quakers haven't had the best of luck with the weather in recent weeks, which means that they have only played four league games so far this season, and we're already in December. They're eighth in the league table, with Rutherford in fourth having played two games more

The sides have not yet met this season but could not be separated on two occasions last season, with both games finishing in a draw, 1-1 at home and 2-2 away. Rutherford sit 4th on ten points and the Quaker Women are just a point behind on nine, they will be looking to take all 3 points to jump ahead of them in the league table come Sunday evening.

Both teams have three wins this season and 1 loss, with Rutherford's extra point coming from the extra game they have played, drawing 1-1 with Birtley Town.

The Quaker Women will be looking to cement their first win against Gateshead Rutherford and be looking up the table to chase down Consett and Sunderland whom they have games in hand on.

Any support would be greatly appreciated and it would be fantastic to have as many down as possible cheering on Darlington F.C.
