The Quaker Women are back in Women’s FA Cup action this weekend as they travel to The Sheep Mount Stadium (CA3 8XL)to take on Carlisle United Ladies F.C in the First Round Qualifying. 

Carlisle play in the Lancashire Women’s County League Premier Division in which they finished 9th last season. They overcame Harrogate Railway in the previous round winning the tie on penalties. Darlington beat Hartlepool 5-0 in the Preliminary round to earn a trip to Carlisle. 

This time last season, Darlington progressed in the First Round Qualifying with a 2-0 away win against Hebburn Town Women, with goals coming from Lily Wilkinson and Jen Harrison, after overcoming Heaton Hawks in the Prelim 4-0 with goals from Nicole Graham, Hattie Raine, Grace Dobson and Aimee Dagnall. 

Darlington will be looking for more of the same and to be in the hat for the Second Round Qualifying for the sixth year in a row! We would absolutely love any travelling support!
