Derby game against Hartlepool

Darlington Women begin their journey in the Women’s FA Cup on Sunday with a derby game against Hartlepool United at Eastbourne.

Quakers go into the game full of confidence after a good pre season in which several new signings have come to the club and are getting used to their new surroundings.

Manager Shaun MacKenzie said; “Everybody loves the first game of the playing season, but there can’t be anything better than a derby game to open the season in the FA Cup.

“Everybody is really looking forward to the game, and hopefully we can advance as we have done in previous years. It would be great to have a big crowd come along to Eastbourne and see us play."

The match kicks off at 2pm, admission by card only is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions. DFC season ticket holders and volunteers on production of their cards, are free.

The club has taken the decision to charge a small admission this season to help with the increased running costs of the women’s team as the team starts a new season in the North East Regional League.
