New keeper added to the squad
Darlington F.C Women are happy to announce the signing of Amelie Crumpton for the 2026/27 season.
Amelie is the Quaker Women’s 7th signing of the summer and the 14th youth product to have signed for the senior women’s team. Amelie started playing in goal at age 11, joining our Darlington Feethams girls team. She played for Darlington Youth for two years before being picked up by Durham Women. Amelie has spent the last four seasons in Durham’s professional set up and has been offered a training contract with Durham Women U21s so will also continue to train with Durham.
Amelie had the following to say after signing for the senior side: “When I first started out playing in goal for Darlington Feethams, it was always the dream to make it into the first team and now thankfully my opportunity has finally come."
Manager Shaun Mackenzie said:"Bringing Amelie in was a no-brainer when we found out she was available. I have kept tabs on her since she left for Durham and she’s made excellent progress as a keeper over the past few years. It’s always good to have competition in the GK department so they can push each other and work together. With Evie still signed on but away at Uni, we wanted to bring in another GK to work with Bea. I look forward to handing another debut to another player who started off their football journey with Darlington."
