Quakers loan Tyrone O'Neill from Middlesbrough

Promising striker on loan until the end of December.

Quakers have today signed centre forward Tyrone O’Neill on loan from Middlesbrough until the end of December, subject to FA and EFL ratification.

Tyrone, who is 19, has made five first team appearances for Boro in the EFL Trophy in the last two seasons, and has been a regular in their Premier League reserve team. Last season he scored 7 goals in 18 matches for them. He also had a loan spell at Hartlepool last season, and he scored for them in an FA Cup tie with Gillingham.

Darlington manager Alun Armstrong said; “Tyrone is different to what we’ve got at the moment. He’s tall and wiry, gets stuck in, and gives as good as he gets. He looks after the ball, has got good feet and is also quite quick. I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Quakers would like to thank Middlesbrough FC for loaning us Tyrone, whom we hope has a successful spell with us.
