The Quakers are looking to make it five wins in a row at the weekend as they host Alfreton Town at Heritage Park.

A 2-0 victory over Chorley on Wednesday night sent the Quakers two points clear at the top of the table and they will be hoping to stay there come the end of the Bank Holiday weekend. After Saturday’s game they then face FC United of Manchester on Monday afternoon in an all ticket game.

Darlington manager Martin Gray said; “I thought that we kept our shape and discipline well on Wednesday night and made ourselves very difficult to break down. By doing that in every game, I’m always confident that we’ve got the players who can score goals at the other end.”

Alfreton Town are in twelve place in the league table having won two and lost three of their first five opening games this season. In their last game they lost an eight goal thriller at home to AFC Fylde 5-3.
