Ossett Town 3 Darlington 1

Striker Amar Purewal came through an hour of his comeback match for Quakers tonight in the game at Ossett Town, but Quakers were knocked out of the competition by 3-1.

Purewal started his first game in over a year following a cruciate ligament injury, but he could do nothing about the host's march to the next round.

Ossett, who beat Spennymoor in the last round, started the game well and went close through Luke Mangham, before they took the lead when Joseph Ojo followed up after Josh Moore headed towards goal after 16 minutes.

Ossett nearly got a second, but Darlington keeper Jim Provett pulled off a good stop from a Max Philis shot.

However, the keeper had no chance a few minutes before half time when Josh Moore scored from close range.

Half time 2-0.

Purewal  was subbed just before the hour, but he will be pleased that he didn't suffer a reaction to his injury, and can now prepare for a game with the Panjab representative team at Leicester City's Academy this Saturday.

Ossett went 3-0 up on 74 minutes when Cameron Lyn beat Provett with a 30 yarder, before Quakers scored a late consolation through Lewis Walton.
