Andrew Nelson in action for Sunderland

Darlington have today signed striker Andrew Nelson on a 28 day loan from Sunderland.

Andrew 21, has made 29 appearances for the Black Cats in Premier League 2, having been with them for several years.

In season 2017-18, he had a loan spell at Harrogate Town, scoring once in four games, and then played 15 games on loan for Falkirk in the Scottish Championship, scoring four times. Several clubs were interested in taking him on loan during the summer before he suffered a toe injury that kept him out for four months.

Andrew will go straight into Quakers’ squad for the away game at Chorley in the Vanarama National League North on Saturday.

We would like to thank Sunderland for loaning us Andrew, and also wish Andrew all the best in his stay with us.
