Legend's son joins the Quakers
Darlington have today signed midfielder Ben Liddle
Ben, 23, is a free agent after being released by Bristol Rovers during the summer, and spent last season on loan at Scottish club Queen of the South.
He started his career in the academy at Middlesbrough, and played for the first team in the EFL Trophy, the Cup and the Championship before going out on loan to Blyth, Forest Green and Scunthorpe.
He moved to Bristol Rovers in October 2020, and played seven times for them before going out on loan to Queen of the South.
Ben is the son of Darlington legend Craig, who played nearly 300 times in several defensive positions for Quakers, and was emergency manager during the upheaval of the 2011-12 season.
