Quakers sign Cameron Salkeld

Attacking Midfielder joins Darlington

Darlington have today signed atacking midfielder Cameron Salkeld, subject to FA and National League approval.

24 year old Cameron, who has signed a one year contract, ended the previous season playing for Clyde in Scotland.

The midfielder, who is from the North East, has played for Carlisle United and Gateshead before moving to Scotland.

Manager Alun Armstrong on Cameron: "Cameron is a local lad who is big, quick and a strong creative player who can play on either wing or as an attacking midfielder and chip in with his fair share of goals.

"I tried to bring him in last year but he wanted to stay full time up in Scotland so I’m delighted to get him on board. He still has aspirations of returning to full time in England so hopefully we will give him that platform like we have with many others but maybe for a full season this time!

"He’ll certainly bring a different dimension to our attacking play."
