Quakers sign defender Dan Dodds from Middlesbrough

On loan until the New Year

Darlington have today completed the loan signing of defender Dan Dodds from Middlesbrough.

Dan, 21, has been with Boro since he was a youngster, and advanced through the various age groups until he made his first time debut earlier this season against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.

Manager Alun Armstrong has been tracking him for some time, and has persuaded him to join Quakers on loan until January.

Here's an interview with Dan:

Here are Alun's thoughts on the loan deal:

Dan is eligible for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Hyde United, and is included in the squad.

We'd like to thank Craig Liddle and Middlesbrough for making the loan deal happen.

We'd like to wish Dan all the best during his time with us
