Quakers sign defender Blair Adams

Left back arrives from North Shields

Darlington have today completed the signing of left back Blair Adams from North Shields.

Blair, who is 33, started his career at Sunderland and after he had a loan spell at Coventry, joined the Sky Blues in 2012 when they were a League One club. He went on to make 64 appearances for them, before joining another League One club, Notts County. He made 55 appearances there, before he moved on loan to Mansfield, then Cambridge and Hamilton in Scotland.

He returned from Scotland to Hartlepool in 2017, and made 36 appearances for them before joining South Shields, who were then in the NPL Premier Division. He made 213 appearances helping Shields to promotion to the National League North.

He left them at the end of last season, and joined North Shields in the Northern League, where he has been a regular throughout the season.

We'd like to wish Blair all the best while he is with us for the rest of the season.

We’d like to thank North Shields for their co-operation in the signing.
