Quakers sign Jim Simms

Hull striker arrives on loan

Darlington have today signed striker Jim Simms on loan from Hull City.

Jim, who is 19, started his career at Oldham Athletic, scoring a hat trick for them in the FA Youth Cup, and signed for Hull in the summer of 2022 at the end of his scholarship. He scored a hat trick for Hull’s under 21s on his debut against Watford, and since then has been playing and scoring regularly for them.

He is familiar with the National League North, having had a loan spell with Buxton last season in which he played six matches.

Jim is with us until 19th November, and is eligible for the FA Trophy that weekend.
