Keeper with Quakers for the rest of the season
Darlington have today signed keeper Rory Watson from York City on loan for the rest of the season.
Rory, who is 29, started his career at Hull City, and had spells on loan at Gainsborough, North Ferriby and Scunthorpe, before joining Scunthorpe on a permanent basis when they were a Football League club in 2017.
He made 50 appearances for them, before having spells at Wrexham, Doncaster and York City. He had played 14 games for York, before another loan spell at Scunthorpe at the start of this season, making nine appearances.
Manager Steve Watson said; "Rory has got loads of experience, and comes highly recommended. He will be a valuable member of the squad for the rest of the season."
Rory has been given permission by York to play for us in the play offs if we reach them.
We'd like to thank York City for their help with the loan, and wish Rory all the best while he is with us.
