Darlington have today signed defender Kieran Burton on loan from Hartlepool United.

Kieran, who is 20, started his career in the youth set up at Barnsley before moving to Tadcaster Albion in the Northern Premier League in 2021.

After impressing at Tadcaster, he moved to Scarborough last season, and helped them to a top half finish, making 34 appearances.

He signed for Hartlepool last summer, but has been unable to hold down a regular first team place, and he has now been loaned to us.

Kieran is on loan to us until the 19^th November, and Hartlepool have given us permission to play him in the FA Trophy.
