Quakers sign Mark Beck for the second time

Striker signs on the dotted line

The club is very proud to announce that we have signed striker Mark Beck for the second time, subject to FA and League approval.

Mark, 28, started his career at Carlisle United and made 66 appearances for them in four seasons -- with loans also at Workington and Falkirk -- before moving to Yeovil. After half a season at Yeovil, he went to Wrexham on loan before he was released by Yeovil in the summer of 2016.

He signed for us in August 2016 in our first season in the National League North, and in that season, scored 18 goals to be our top scorer, including the last goal at Heritage Park and the first at Blackwell Meadows.

He moved to Harrogate in November 2017 and stayed there for five seasons, helping them win promotion to the National League and the Football League , and the FA Trophy. In all, he scored 34 goals in 136 matches for Harrogate, as well as 6 goals in 25 matches for York last season when he was on loan there.

Here's what Darlington manager Alun Armstrong says about Becky's return:

There'll be an interview with Mark soon.
