Darlington have today signed goalkeeper Matty Young from Sunderland.

Matty, who is 17, has impressed in the Under 18s and under 21s this season, and is highly rated by the Black Cats.

He joined the Academy of Light at the age of 7, and progressed impressively through the age groups. He has represented England at Under 19 level, and made his Sunderland first team debut against New Mexico on their pre-season tour last year.
