Midfielder arrives on loan from Boro
Darlington have signed attacking midfielder Max Howells from Middlesbrough on loan until the end of November.
Stockton-born Max, who is 21, joined the Middlesbrough academy when he was 9 years old, and has steadily worked his way through to Boro’s Premier League 2 squad in which he has been a regular.
He had a loan spell at Whitby in season 2023-24 in which he scored five goals in ten matches, and then last season he had another loan spell at Stockton Town, helping them into the NPL Premier Division play offs.
Max goes straight into the squad for today’s home game with Southport.
We’d like to thank Middlesbrough for their help in sorting the loan out at short notice.
