Quakers sign Paddy McLaughlin on loan

Experienced midfielder joins the club

Darlington have signed midfielder Paddy McLaughlin on loan from York City until the end of November.

McLaughlin, who is 34, comes to Blackwell Meadows with a huge amount of experience in the game with Newcastle United, York – with whom he won the FA Trophy and the Conference play offs in 2012 --  Grimsby, Gateshead and Hartlepool, as well as earning ten caps for Northern Ireland under 21s. He is now in his tenth season overall with York, and has previously played under manager Steve Watson.

Paddy goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s home game with Southport

We would like to thank York City for all their help in getting the loan through in time.
