Darlington are delighted to announce the signing of Thomas Bryant after a successful trial period with the club, subject to National League and FA clearance. 

Thomas, 19, is a left-back who signed a scholarship deal with the Newcastle United Academy in 2023 as a 16-year-old and would work his way up through the age groups. 

Last season made six appearances for the U21’s side but unfortunately suffered a leg injury against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Youth League in December of 2025 and would depart the club at the end of last season. 

Thomas has featured in the last few pre-season games for Darlo and done well enough to earn a deal from Steve and Terry. He goes straight into the squad ahead of the league opener at home against Worksop.
