Supporter since childhood passes away
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of lifelong Darlington supporter Ron Stobart (Ronnie) at the age of 82.
While he had been ill for some time, his loss was unexpected. He had supported the club for over 75 years, first coming to Feethams at the age of 7. He had seen the highs, often talking about ‘that Chelsea match’ and the FA Trophy final, and the lows of relegation and administration – but always looked forward to the next match.
He, along with his wife Barbara, was a familiar face in the crowd and he was always happy to talk to anyone about The Quakers.
Everyone at the club would like to pass on their condolences to Ronnie's family and friends.
